Optimal UK upgrades data to Autocat v8 quality

12.07.2019

The update will give our customers access to better product information

We are pleased to announce that we have upgraded our data to MAM Software's Autocat v8 quality, in a move that will make it easier for our customers to access better product information.

Optimal UK's managing director Geoff Jones explained how demand for our products has grown over recent years. We have recently launched more than 2,000 CV joints and drive shafts, as well as over 1,200 Dolz water pump references.

Improving the quality of our data was the next logical step, as was achieving Make Model Index (MMI) Certified Supplier status with MAM Software.

"The data update, coupled with our online B2B platform, will give our partners full access and visibility to live availability from the UK, as well as the central warehouse at our head office in Munich," Geoff noted.

Optimal UK has been working alongside MAM for the past nine years, and Geoff anticipates this long-standing relationship will continue.

Geoff continued: "Being an MMI Certified Supplier, we can offer our partners peace of mind that the parts they are looking up have a seal of approval which can be trusted.

"But this is only the beginning. By utilising Automate Online, our data will continue to improve on a daily basis with new references and updates being available at the click of a button."

Automate Online is a cloud-hosted system, designed to enable component suppliers to improve their product data before it is published to Autocat. Among the features is the MMI, which a company uses to reference its catalogue data against a comprehensive database of UK-specific vehicles.

Tony Mason, sales manager for data and e-commerce products at MAM Software, said: "Converting data into v8 format and receiving MMI Certified Supplier status will give Optimal UK's customers reassurance that the information they retrieve is accurate and up to date.

"Using Autocat will also enable the company to place products in front of more customers than ever before."
